Planning the collection of my Kioti 4010 this week. It has a FEL, Backhoe and 60" rotary cutter. I figure I can use the loader to put the cutter in the bed of the truck, but how long of a trailer will I need for the tractor and backhoe? Images of something loaded with trailer lengths would be very helpful. I can rent an 18' equipment trailer, but don't own one yet.
Thanks
When I upgraded to a larger tractor I sold my 7K 20' tilt bed and bought a 14K 22' PJ tilt bed. Actual deck length including the knife edge is 23' and it gives me plenty of room to adjust the load fore and aft for better balance no matter what 3 pt. attachment I have on at the time. Go for the longer trailer.
I hauled a lot of all different kinds of equipment for years and I'll tell you I bought to small to begin with. 18ft isn't enough.. I found a 20 footer to be of much more use. What are you towing it with? Trailers are like buildings, you never seem to have enough room..
You're close by me (I'm near Binghamton) Do you find the tilt bed more useful/safer than a dovetail or ramps?
Mind if I ask what you paid and where you bought it?
