How much do BH buckets cost

I get my choice of bucket with my Woods 7500 backhoe. I was thinking of getting the 24" bucket with the hoe and buying a second bucket, maybe 12". Was planning to use the big bucket for grading type work, not digging.

How much does a 12" Woods bucket cost?

Do most people end up having 2 buckets?

I did.
I use my 18" bucket for digging and I recently purchased a 36" bucket for grade work.
Buckets are not cheap, I payed $450 for a 36" bucket. But I like it and it makes my backhoe even more usefull to me..
Smaller buckets should be slightly lower cost..

Speaking only from secondhand information and not personal experience- Recently I was talking to my brother-in law (who runs excavators for a living) which size bucket to consider for a backhoe. His response was simple... although you may have more digging force with a smaller bucket, they tend to fill with dirt that doesn't drop out easily and sometimes clog so bad that he has to get out and clean the bucket with a shovel. He suggested I not go smaller than a 16" bucket if I was only going to own one. Hope this helps.

Retail list on a Woods 12" bucket is $463 plus $.20 per pound steel surcharge and it weighs 84#.

These are tough Gannon buckets true construction grade with removal / replaceable teeth.

450EXC....when i was working road construction digging trenches, we made up a three foot by six inch flat steel piece and slipped it onto/over the BH bucket teeth, and held it in place with two short chains. That worked great for leveling out areas using the BH. It's a cheap fix, and if you want to put
more time in. I bet you could make more of a box-type or cross-type section for swinging/grading use.....just my thoughts of saving lots of nickels.....
