Well I tried a search and found tons of threads but only one mentioned fuel use numbers (10 gallons/hour on a JD 8XXX I think). Most devolved into "my brand did better than yours" with no actual numbers.

How much do these CUT's in the 25 to 40 hp range burn in an hour?
I can deal w/ liters or gallons.
My diesels burn about:
7.3L Ford - 4+ gal/hour (about 16MPG going 70mph)
2L VW - about 2-gal/hr (about 40mpg going 70+). Should get better after I break it in and stop driving it like a BOH :)

I have a Mahindra 2615HST (26HP) tractor. So far in my uses it burns about 1 gallon or a little less per hour while operating attachments such as a brush hog, snowblower, or loader work. Probably a little less just driving.

I think the average is about 1 gallon per hour or so...but it's really hard to know because rarely do we (CUT owners) run for hours on end with the same load like plowing a field.

My Kubota B21 (21HP) burns about 1/2 a gallon per hour.

My BX2350 is using just a hair over 1/2 gallon per hour.

Round harrow five acres of seedlings, right around half tank , 2.5-3gal, with the JD790. Do ten acres of seedlings and still had just below quater of a tank left. 5 foot round harrow pulls easy.

You got me thinking about what my BX24 (23 HP) is getting, so I just had to go out and calculate it. Since I'm in the processes of doing my 300Hr/2Yr service anyway, I figured it's a good time get some hard numbers, but I already knew I was reloading with 5 gals every 15 hrs or so.

Total Gallons Used: 95
Last Refill Hrs: 289.6
Hrs per Gal: (289.6/95) = 3.05

Years ago, I started logging fuel refills on my road vehicles (date, miles, gals, grade), so when I got my BX24 (new) I started a refill log book as well, with greasing and service notes. When I buy diesel, I always make sure I put as close to 5 gals as possible into my fuel cans so I can be reasonably accurate.

No mowing, mostly FEL work, some rototilling & box blading, a little backhoe and tree limb chipping work.
