I never seam to get ahead, I finished 1 project this evening and started two more. Actually I finished one of the two I started as well. It would be quite discouraging to list all the projects I have going but I just keep bulling ahead.

I finished turning some new pins for my backhoe bucket, I ordered the stock 2weeks ago and I am just getting to it.

While getting to the bucket I brushed a chain off the top of my winch which reminded me I have a tough time moving it unless its on the tractor, so I made a fork pocket on top so I can pick it up with 1 fork and move it without a chain.

While I was doing that my father came in and was complaining about moving trailers around the yard and wanted a trailer ball on the bucket, after a little discussion he decided he wanted a reciever hitch that slips over the forks for better visability and the fact that we have trailers with 4 different hitch's. Got that one about 1/2 finished, hitch is done and 1 fork pocket is done.

It just never ends for me, how about you guys (and gals)?

i complain about watching the kids all the time and not being able to get things done.......then, i get a break and someone babysits (rarely!).....i have so many things to do i don't even know where to start!!!! you feel like your stuck in a hole and the water is coming in faster than you can get it out

sometimes i think the guys at work that live in the city, watch sports on tv and golf all the time might have it right:rolleyes:

well, i'd better get back to work;):D

Hmmm... too many to list. My problem is that I start on a project, and in the midst of project 1, find that I need a new tool to finish, so begins project 2, which needs some jig made, so there's project 3, etc. By the time I get the sub-projects done, project 1 is no longer needed, or I've forgotten what it was, or another project has taken its place atop the list of things to do. Anyway, it's an endless cycle. I guess it keeps me out of trouble.

... most of the time.

Small jobs that need to be done so i can throw away some junk thats left over:
- transplant the aluminium sideboards of the truck bed i bought last week, to my 2.5 ton deck-over tandem trailer
- make fork pockets under the big 2x3 meter steel bin i have around, so i can use it as a scrapbin
- turn the C-channel and leaf springs of a wrecked mobile home, into a single axle 3x1.3 meter 1.5 ton car trailer

Small jobs that need to get done, just to be done with them:
- finish the quick attach of my front loader (since 2005 i work with loose pins)
- lengthen the dump cylinders of my front loader to achieve 90 degree tip angle at ground - level (parts pre-welded, will do this week)

Maintenance jobs that just need to be done this summer:
- fix the left brakes of the 5245 (did the right brakes last winter) when its open anyways, combine this with:
- put new copper washers in the diff of the 5245 (it has ran without oil)
- change the cracking 40x5mm support tubes of my front loader brackets, to solid 40mm St.60 rod

Summer projects:
- finish my newly purchased 4 ton muck spreader, blast & paint it
- blast & paint my bale clamp

less important things, will do when i feel like it, or dont want to plan a big project:
- put the new gas struts, mirrors and lights on the 5245
- paint the spare front grille of the 5245 and replace the busted one on the 5245 (i made the bullbar to protect the hood, but damage had already been done)

this winter's jobs:
- respray my 3011
- rebuild the engine of the 3011

long term projects:
- make a boom pole for my front loader
- finish my pull type grader (i finished the blade, then threw it behind the shop)
- make a brush grab for the frontloader
- build the bale processor (chopper and hopper already bought 3 years ago
- finish the dirt buggy thats sitting in the workshop since 2007..

I could probably list about 20 projects, which are usually the most important to me at the current time. There are most likely another 50 or so that are kicking around in the back of my mind.

I really have too many to list.

From welding projects, to wood projects.... I did get one woodshed finished yesterday, and started on it Friday.... It's 16x16 and 10ft. high, and I have one more to build along with other wood projects.... I'm adding this wood stove this year. United States Stove Co. 1557M Add-on Furnace - 5095270 | Tractor Supply Company... I have to set it up and run all my pipe to connect it to my ductwork, but TSC can't get them in until September or October,... and bow season starts the first of September.

I have 5 trees that are already cut up and split and I have to stack all that, and I also have 11 more trees on the ground that needs split.... We have had a lot of rain this year, and it has been hard trying to get everything done. (I have a guy that I hired coming tomorrow to help with the trees. :D)

I got one of the welding projects finished last week... I built a trailer two years ago to pull behind my ATV and with my tractor, But I built it too wide for some of the places that I need to go on my hunting property.... I had to cut it down on both sides so the tongue would come out right.. I had to cut the axle off and shorten it, and then weld the trailer and axle back together. (I have pics.).. I still have a lot of welding projects to go.

Its hard to get my other projects done when I have garden work to do.. And trying to keep over 6-acres of grass mowed with all the rain we have been having, and I have places on my hunting property where I have to use the bush-hog.

Here is my partial list for today

24x110 equipment shed under way, 24' of roof sheets left to do and 50' of wall sheets.

sugar shack expansion under way, I stood outside to load the wood into the evaporator last year. The foundation is done, just need to build the **** thing.

Finishing feed lot needs some pavement of some sort. Steers have ground 18" of gravel into soupie muck. I'm planning concrete, if it ever stops raining.

Manure spreader needs new beater bars, this will get done when I need to spread manure for sure but it would be nice if it were all ready when I needed it.

Fill the Hay Shed

Cut, Split and Stack 4 or 5 more cords of firewood, I only have 7 in so far.

Build new Rabbittry, I have them stuck in every croock and cranny around here.

Buy or Build snow plow for tractor, I sold the old plow truck so this will get important in November.

Buy, build or fix a woodstove. The one we currently use is just plain used up and needs to be replaced. Would like a wood fired boiler but that isn't likely this year.

Finish greenhouse I have started, or tear down the part I have already done.

Put new roof and wall sheets on my camper building. I have all the sheets just need time.

This is just the stuff I need to do not including everyday chores and the few things I would like to do. I too do not really get to stressed over the whole thing I just do what I can.

Tear down the house and rebuild it while finishing the garage, the landscaping and the road. So that's one.
Maintain my vehicles while restoring a 1949 Ford pickup, fixing a couple boats and building a new ice fishing shack. So that's two.
Good thing I'm away from home most of the summer and fall because I'm just two projects away from getting bored.

There is some comfort knowing that while I am waist deep in my own gator pond and watching the dorsel fins there are many others out there in the same place. I would not have it any other way, I hate to be idle.

Guess it all depends on how you catagorize things! I figure Ya got your 'Honey-Do', your "Stuff That Has To Get Done", Your "***** That Happens", and your "Projects"! An example: HD-List "help me transplant the bushes", Can we rearrange the furniture" etc. The STHTGD List 'Cut the grass', 'trim the bushes', 'write the checks', 'go grocery shopping' The STH's list is "The kitchen sink's plugged!" (Last week's STH'd!). And THEN, there's the "Projects"! I try to accomplish the STHTGD during the week. Then I devote Saturday AM+ to the HD, and get done what I can! Then Sat PM , and Sunday I get to "Projects"! A defined goal, and purpose! The Stump Grinder, The Will Da Beast, The (current) 'Garden Cart', The Bandsaw Mill Design..........But then out of the blue comes the STH's! Awe geez! ~Scotty

I'm not getting any of my outside projects done today, because of more heavy rain.

We have had a lot of rain this year, and right now on the weather channel their showing that Louisville got 6-inches in an hour.... With more to come.

This year is going by so fast.
