I am of the understanding that it is better to spin a tire than stall a machine and possibly break something..From the big dump truck days bias ply tube tires would spin and tear the tubes , when radial tubeless came in they wouldn't spin and broken axles could result.. Some times less traction is better.

I guess it is about looking for the balance between getting the job done and not over doing it. Seems like I am slowly learning how to use the tractor more effectively / efficiently which allows me to avoid stressing it as much as well as getting more of a sense of what might stress it. I am in the learn as you go school. Or perhaps it is the go and you learn school.
