how do you like your tractor?

/ how do you like your tractor? #2
I have a Kubota L4400. Before I bought it, I did quite alot of research. That is how I started browsing TBN. After additional talks with my neighbors and visiting dealers of other makes and models, I decided on the Make and Model that I bought. It has fulfilled all my needs. I am extremely happy and content with my purchase.

Welcome :)
I like my JD 5045E. It is the right size for my wood lot and sugarbush needs as well as maintaining a half mile of private road summer and winter. It was not my first tractor so knew what I wanted which was a full sized machine with 4 WD and a strong loader.
Your needs and desires may vary.

Welcome aboard, aaron45p-
Like creekbend, I kept landing on TBN while searching for a first tractor (I was total noob).
I got lots of great ideas here.
One of the best was to:
1) Determine what jobs need to be done.
2) Determine what implements would best do the jobs.
3) Determine your budget.
4) Determine what tractor would best fit the implements doing those jobs and your financial state.
5) Go visit dealers, kick tires, get package prices.
6) See who you'll want to business with in the future and close your deal.

What I learned was the dealer is the number one thing to look for when buying a tractor - not so much on the Brand Name.
I met my dealer at an Exhibition. I was researching small tractors for my 2.5 acre farm. I looked at JD, New Holland, Kubota and Kioti.
The Kioti dealer was the best at explaining the differences and what I needed. He didn't try to sell me a tractor - he helped make up my mind. The dealer relationship is the most important part of your decision.

I love my Kioti!

I bought a used JD 3320 had the instrument panel fixed 3 years ago and have never been back to the dealer since then. I've had no problems since then, any parts I've needed I've just ordered online. The 3320 is a good machine. This year mine turns 8 years old and has about 750 hrs on it. I purchased it with 480 hrs on it.

After being on this board for several months back in 1999 I bought a new Kubota B2710 with loader. I am still amazed by just how great a machine this is, every time I use it. Perfect combination of size, power, and economy.

I like that mine was cheap. I was originally looking at the much smaller 650 or maybe 750, but ended up talking to a guy I knew that had this much larger 1070 he was trying to get rid of because he was going through a divorce. I got it for close to what a good 650 was going for and included a 90" woods finish mower. This is way more tractor than I needed, but have been happy with it ever since.

It didn't come with a loader and I wanted one, so I found a used one.
I also with it was 4x4.
