How do you "close down" your home when gone?

If you do end up closing it up, here's a couple of things that you may consider.

If you leave fridge on, put in lots of gallons containers of water, it will run less often with cold items in it.

Pour RV/Camper antifreeze in P-traps. Made for this and not harmful to enviroment or pets. Sold at WM, cheap.

Put saran wrap over the toilet bowls and stoppers in sink drains so if / when the water evaporates from the P-traps sewer gas cannot come up from the pipes.
