lol yeah thats a good question ... if it was me I would go get two Tamarack trees or electrical pole at 10'' to 12'' in diameter and I would simply give it a try the weight will be in compression and wood it pretty tough in that regards. What kind of A frame would you need for a 20 ton rock?
What fun is that? Everything else you see in that picture was done by me. Not gonna let some little boulder get in my way.OP looking at the size of digger and the numbers people have staed for the rock weight, bite the bullet and get a contractor to have a look and quote on the job.
Actually 100 times heavier, but who's counting. My point was that even with a lighter puller once the rock is moving inertia will tend to keep it moving. No matter how you getthe rock out I encourage you to get it out in one pieceThis rock is 10x heavier. Gotta get a huge machine or a lot of pulleys and a deadman anchor. If i use my 60hp tractor I'm gonna need to anchor that to something too or it will get dragged.
How about a few pictures with an actual tape measure across in different orientations.Might be a possibility if the estimated weight wasn't between 40-50K pounds. It won't budge with a 15K excavator. Started exploring using a deadman anchor and about 5 snatch blocks to create a 5:1 system
Hold my beer and watch this. What fun is that? Everything else you see in that picture was done by me. Not gonna let some little boulder get in my way.
