So I figure I'm going to clear some brush with my Kubota mini-ex to make room to park my trailer. On the first attempt to dig, two hoses go "boom" and spray hyraulic fluid all over me. Seems they were somewhat abraided and I guess it was time to blow.

So how hard is it to replace two hoses? It looks like they are routed below the floorboard and possibly into the side panel. Not sure, it was to late to start taking things apart, so figured I'd ask here if anyone knows what I'm in for. How to go about ordering the replacement hoses? Just call Kubota parts guy?

Thanks for any suggestions.

We make many of the hoses today as a matter of economics for our customers. Take them out being sure of there path and go to a dealer and he should have the equipment to make them for you.

Be sure you are getting high enough pressure hose!

Holy cow! So I replaced two hoses, had to order them from Kubota, ended up costing me $520! Unbelievable, supposedly the fittings on the ends were somewhat non standard and therefore couldn't be fabricated by the dealeri. Pretty ridiculous to lpay that much but didn't have any choice. Any way I got it back together and it's working fine for now. Hope I don't have any more hose issues, justs very costly.....

Glad you got em' replaced! Welcome to the joys of equipment ownership! FYI next time a hose goes bad, look into a local hydraulic repair shop, they usually can make the lines while you wait, you just need to bring the originals with you and they should be less expensive than getting them from the dealer.

$520 for two hoses is insane. Sorry Kubota fans, but that's nothing but poor engineering IMO, no excuse for that...

What type of fitting would require some special Kubota hose? Sounds like you got jacked. However, Kubota builds the BEST miniX out there.

I have had good luck going to the Kubota ag tractor dealership. The first hose I blew on my KX 121-2 I just knew they were going to knock my head off. But they were more than reasonably priced. They were made in house.
