Does anyone on here know anything about a programmer to increase the horsepower on a skid steer?

If you have a mechanical fuel injection system, it ain't gonna happen with a 'chip'. Unless you have a very large SSL that is Tier III emissions compliant or a large SSL that is Tier IV compliant, it is probably a mechanical fuel system.

All I know is that it doesn't make any sense to.
You HAVE all the power you can use, so WHY ?
Unless you have some other means to make it weigh more and/or lift more.....
Yeah, I still don't get it.

If you are running a mulcher, you NEVER have all the power you can use.

Thank you fish factor. We do have added weight, and it helps with the steel tracks when we are pushing trees.

Running a mulcher, you need every HP you can get. Personally, I was excited when Bobcat announced the 870. 99 HP and the much needed cab upgrade. Then I got into the specs. The high flow is only 34 gpm. I'm no expert, but my 320 is 40 gpm, so I think I would loose performance if I switched. Maybe not, but seems dumb for them to leave the high flow lacking.

Still interested in the lamtrac, or the fecon 148 if I can catch a tiger like cbturf.

Cb turf got it going on. I just hope that everything continues to go smooth for him so he can make it back to his family. Us small people need a good break every once in a while. I myself am waiting for this big bid openning. I will need help on it if i get this one.

I'm not too far from you if you are in Horry County, SC. I'd be happy to help if we could work the schedules out.
