Homemade Grapple

Are you looking at building a complete grapple or just an "add a grapple" type to your existing bucket. Are you thinking of a root style or a bucket style. I was going to build a bucket style before I won one in an online auction. All I was going to use was some square tube for the main frame and flat bar for the bucket tines and the actual grapple. Make it the size YOU want and not the size thats available.

I have the bucket and the grapple, need to add the tines onto the grapple. It has the cylinder. the bucket is 72", has four grapples ready to go, just need to add the tines. Looking at making my own tines, the cost of new tines for 4 is about $1100.00 ones made already will cost $800.00 and if I have them cut from 1/2" plate it will cost $600.00. Looking for ideas how to make them cheaper then spending hundreds of $$$$$.
