I use a cheap Harbor Freight 12V defroster and Rain X anti fog. I didn't have any issues with the windshield fogging.

Mine is more for shade in the AZ heat. I have since added mirrors to help prevent pulling muscles in my ribcage from constantly turning around looking at the box blade.
