Hi all, Having completed my tractor I am now considering a FEL as opposed to my original plan of a small front linkage. The only "problem" is that I do not wish to overweigh the small tractor, nor do I want it to be able to lift too much as it will be dangerous and also increase the chances of breaking things, I also want the loader to be fast operating up and down (nothing worse than waiting till christmas for it to raise up!) so I was thinking of one single lift ram, of small diameter, central and on the front of the tractor (just in front of the pull start) And the loader pivot point would be around the exhaust area (about 8" back from the front of the bonnet) So basically a half loader. Bearing in mind its not lifting much, and it ha sto be fast acting, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas they would like to add? thanks
Here is a VERY! rough sketch of my idea, as its not always possible to picture things cleary without a picture!, Worth mentioning i could pivot the cylinder either at its bas or at the top (A and B) the top probably being the best to avoid the cylinder fouling on the bonnet.
