Tractor
B3200
Well I have been lurking about these parts for some time now. I have seen many great looking and functional implements that you guys have made. Loads of talent out there.

I like to tinker in my shop. Build things, mostly out of metal. I purchased a Kubota B3200 a little over a year ago. It's great to have a tractor. It has made my life alot easier. It also opened up a whole new area of possiblities, tractor tools!

I bought some property recently that is very overgrown. After we get a killing freeze on the weeds and bushes, I plan to take the neighbors backhoe and remove the large trees. I will use a 3-point grubber, a home-built, to dig up the bushes and cactus. I will rake up the brush and weeds with a brush/trash rake that I have just completed. I have attached the photos of the rake. I have not painted it as of yet. I have several other tools to paint and have some not yet complete. I will have a paint day soon.

Most of my stuff is built from scrap, bits and pieces. I use what I have access to.

That looks great.

With it being that wide I'd be careful about snagging something with one side and twisting the whole deal. How wide is it?

Thanks DT86. It is 6 ft. wide from the end tines. The photo makes it look much wider than the tractor. The tractor is about 5 ft. wide.

Yes Mace Canute, the skid shoes would be good. I will look into that. I have a wide flange "I" beam drop that could be split for a pair of shoes. Good call.

I built this awhile back for tearing up roots and such. Since then I added a drop down blade in front that I can use for levelling

I like your "rake" rsharp. It looks like a rock bucket, just mounted on the loader a little different.

On different garden installs and different sight clean ups that I have done with lots of woody roots, rocks and other things, I rip the spot stem to stern both directions with the box blade then use the rock bucket to gather up the remaining 'undesirables'. I find the more I rip the area, the more easier it is to clean of junk with the rock bucket or cultivator. The more you rip, the less you get hung up on things raking and cleaning. Just depends on how 'clean' the area needed to be.

Skid shoes would certainly be nice, But I find it handy to have the option to 'dig' a little with the rock bucket. With the rock bucket, It acts just like a huge skid shoe with the right flat angle or a big, tall rake like yours when dumped far enough.

I suspect your rake would work the same or maybe even better than a rock bucket when "dumped" or curled while pushing and raking up trash.

That is a great looking implement. Bet you need a strong tractor to get some good action though. Would be fun to trait out.

Actually, I was a bit worried when I built it, that's the reason for the removable teeth. I figured is worse came to worse I could pull the teeth 'till I could pull it. All I've got is a 20h 4WD Jinma and it'll pull 80-90% of the roots as is. The occasional one I'll have to remove a few...Mike
