I think the cart Should be the 1st project. Kudos to you. The only thing missing is the Big Barn Diamond Plate Fenders over the tires.. Nice work and good for you !!!

That's cool. Looks alot like one (a little nicer than mine) that I made out of scraps 12 years ago when I bought my first welder. I will try to post a pic.

That hobart weighs 70 lbs... I needed something to wheel it around.. Fenders will be added when I can come across some scrap plate/flat bar..

Thanks

Nice work I guess I'mnot the only one that believes in big wheels. I see so many people build nice tables carts etc. and put cheese little wheels on them.:confused3: How does the tricycle set up work? Is it tippy? When I build any thing that has to do with my mig stuff I always weld a piece of pipe on a angle to stick the gun in . Good luck. :drink:

I was afraid of it being tippy but the weight of the bottle over the rear axle keeps it planted pretty well. My reason for big wheels is it will be used on our ranch at times rolling over dirt.. and such
Pipe for gun is a great idea...

Very nice job! I built my MIG cart out of a shopping cart someone dumped down the road from our place ( No identifiers on it or I would have returned it!). After I got the cart built, I realized it must have been the very same cart I always got at our local WalMart. It was the one with a slightly bent frame, one wobbly caster and a wheel with a flat spot!!

It has actually worked well but I won't be posting pics of it!

Here is mine.....

Wished I had used bigger wheels up front, but they are ok if floor relative clean (what ever that means) ... One thing I forgot was handle to drag it around by... So bolted one on, not the best but works... Also got large plastic tool box (at yard sale $2) that sits in lower shelf that holds "Stuff" (tools, tips, extra wire, PAM for antispatter, side cutters, you know stuff)....

Next project welding table...

I like the cart too! Looks like the front wheel swivels... like that too. Fenders... com'n on. Seriously, is there a good reason for them?

I like the big wheels and the fact you chose to use three. The weight of the tank should keep it from tipping. Nicely done.
I need to get around to making one and yours seems perfect. I may just make it taller to hold more accessories and helmet but nevertheless, well done.

Thanks gents... I made it shorter so it would fit under a wall shelve unit in my garage. I went big wheels since I plan too use out at the ranch at times and it will be wheeled around on dirt some... Wheels were actually only about $12.00 each from harbor freight..

I had some left over kubota paint from brush screen I modified on my M6060.. Reason for color... I would of used Cat yellow since I’m a cat guy at heart....
