There is no way the backhoe was chain correctly.

That is sad. I am sure the fault was in the person who loaded the backhoe, if it was attached right, the whole rig would have tipped over, before the hoe fell off.

Thanks chopped for posting the video.I wonder if fishtailing was the complaint the hands had made.Heck of a way to verify it if so.Sad deal.

I would speculate that the load was improperly loaded initially or improperly secured and shifted back resulting in a light tongue weight, and ultimately the driver's loss of control. I can see know way that this was due to any issue with the tow vehicle- any freightliner can handle a Case 580 series backhoe.

I am on that road weekly. My thoughts to the family of the victim.
