Massey 8x8's;
1533, R4 Pin Lock QA $16,900
1540, R4 Pin Lock QA $18,500

At these prices, the MF's have surpassed the Kub's as my new favorites. )

I'm looking at the L4400/MF1540 as well, and like you, am leaning towards the MF. I was more impressed with the dealer, too. My price on the 1540 isn't quite as good as yours though. Can you outline exactly what specs you got quoted on? Would help me out a lot - thanks!

An important consideration on the 1540 is that it's a "cash" price. As in, it's not a credit card nor is it going through MF finance.

It's simply the 1540 with 1525 loader and R4 tires loaded. The loader has the Massey type pull-pin quick attach.

Same here - the cash price I got for the 1540/1525, but with ag tires (unloaded), was $20,800.

Is there generally much of a price difference between R4 and Ag tires?

If I could get nearer to your price, that would make my decision a lot easier, I think. Thanks for the info!

You know what, I misspoke....the machine I spec'ed out was w/ 12x12 Power Shuttle trans....

So it's not as bad as I first thought. The cash price I got on the 8x8 1540/1525 was $19,300.
