Im looking at a 650aw hiab to mount to a tractor. Not going to be easy, but thats the fun of it right?

I have been trying to work out the hydraulic specs the crane requires to run properly as its going to require running a pump off my machines front PTO (tractor only runs 10.5 g/m at 1755 lbs). But I havent been able to find them through searching.

Im hoping someone on here has some idea on how much the little lifter needs to get it up.

The last unit I worked on the relief was set at 2400psi. I had to get parts out of Florida and hope to never see one again.CJ

Thank you very very very much! I have been searching all over the net, trying to get specs on truck pto pumps etc. Awesome! (I should have mentioned its a 1000rpm pto but have found a simular unit)

Would running a higher GPM be a problem?

So what was the problem with the 650?

Why can't you use tractor hyd? You said 10.5 GPM. Is 1755 your tractor pressure. What kind of flow does the lift require.

How about this pump. 1000 PTO rpm, 13.5 GPM at 2000 psi.

3.6 CU IN PRINCE HC-PTO-8AC PTO PUMP 1000 RPM CI

It makes no sense to purchase a large pump for a small GPM implement.

Hi from the uk guys
I have a Viper HLK 60 crane on my Leyland 272 running directly of the tractor hyd system at 1950psi on tick-over around 2000 psi at 1/4 throttle the crane works really well
With this setup lifting about a ton close in on 3/4 rev's
It will lift a bulk bag of logs at full reach (5 mtr ) on tick-over.

I would use the tractors hydraulics. It will run it fine. Cj

BTW you will most likely need to reduce the flow on the slew pipes though as it really fly's round especially if you are using the other controls.

What flow rate in GPM is the Hiab designed for.
