Hi! I am another new guy although I have had several lawn tractors for thirty years to cut my acre lot it was not until 7/2003 car/pedestrian accident that changed everything. I jumped in the way to shove my new wife of a year out of the way of a swerving car that was going to pin her between the rear of an 18 wheeler that she was taking delivery on and his front bumper. I managed to toss her and jump up in the bed of the truck but my left foot did not clear and was severed hanging by one of the two arteries. (Sorry Gross Time/ Pictures witheld).
Four years and five surgeries to correct I then got a blister in a poor circulation area, then abcess and finally ostemylytisis, killing foot and lost the leg below knee (9/2007). I bought a Kubota BX24 (FEL, BH & Thumb) to become my left leg around the place and 20 acres in northern MI.
That was 2006 and now finally off all the drugs and PTSD, I am really enjoying my BX24 and Cub Cadet LTX1050. Servicing my equipment has brought me here since I was a Master Mechanic of thirty years (when ASE started - dating myself). So I own a major tool investment and finally getting back to enjoying crawling around with them again. Hope to help out as much as I have been helped before joining here. I welcome ALL people and their comments as life with socialization is a little more precious these days.
