HFT Surveillance DVR system

Anyone ever use this system or recommend anything like it. 4 Channel Surveillance DVR with 4 Cameras

I'm wanting to watch some land and with 4 cameras and 200 hours time it doesn't seem bad.

costco always has good sales on 4, 8 and 16 camera systems. right now they have a 16 camera system for $700, 500GB drive. They usually have 4 camera systems for around $300.

I am leary of this particular one, because the ad lacks basic info like the recording fps rate. Usually, cheaper systems might have 4 cameras share 30 fps, so each camera is 1/4 of that, bad video. Also it doesn't mention web based monitoring, which most will do, at a lower cost.

I have installed a couple of systems from tigerdirect.com. They have a very simular system for $299. It has a 500 gig drive and you can always check things out at home over the internet with it too.

Excuse my ignorance, but to see it over the internet, you have to have internet sevice there, correct? This is rural property with no internet service.

I have had good luck with the Security Cameras | Video Security Camera System | CCTV Video Surveillance Systems people.

I will say that the record on motion really only works inside, anything from shadows to leaves blowing will set it off.

Also get the best cameras you can afford. Also check the fps, it is usually split between the cameras as said before..

You can record 2 cameras and get 15 fps each, and that's the minimum you want to go..

other systems are Lorex, Q-see, swann....

My 4 camera dvr card records at 120 fps / 4 30 fps each camera.

this system will probably do what you want if you don't have internet for remote viewing.

Yep, no internet, no internet viewing. Everything else is still good to go, and it has a larger hard drive and is expandable to 8 camera's.
Tiger, also has many other brands.
