Help with the steering

Search for the recent Kubota B8200 power steering posts... A gentleman posted pictures of the add-on Kubota supplied power steering conversion.

I printed the pictures and plan to take them to a local hydraulic shop to see if I can do the same.

The Surplus has a coaxial hydraulic torque multiplier. I had thought to cut out a length of the steering shaft on my old IH444, insert this with suitable plumbing. Would just need a suitable bracket/clamp externally on the unit to keep the unit from rotating. Technically, I can't see any reason it would not work except maybe not generating enough torque. For a number of reasons I am trading the IH444 for a Kuboa L3130.

Robert: All this is interesting... For what it's worth, the "spool" valve, if that is what it's called, is a USA sourced item in my Kubota PS kit, and it is spring loaded ( it'll compress/extend about 1+" in either direction) so the steering still works when there's no hydraulic. Everything else is either available from suppliers of hydraulic stuff, or, in the case of the tie rod ends, Kubota. You would have to have a mounting plate fabricated, and there's a stud welded to a cylinder tube that's special. If it would help you in your quest for parts, I can post some measurements of cylinder lengths, what not. Maybe I could scan and post the instructions that came with the kit? I guess I could mail a copy to anyone who needed it, assuming 25 guys don't ask for them.
