HELP on mower deck selection and alternator

Lookin at buying a B7500 and looking for help on a couple of points:

What are the Pros and Cons of a ground contact mower deck versus a suspended one?

Apparently the tractor has a dynometer instead of a alternator. The alternator is a upgrade. At what point is this worth it? The only extra electrical load would be a small pump on a sprayer, which has worked OK on my old JD110 with a dynometer.

I have a B2910. I asked the dealer if a altenator was needed. He talked me out of it. After owning the tractor for 6 months I decided extra lights would help with work in the dark. I then needed to add the altenator for the power drawn by the lights. I did the instaL myself-wasnt to difficult. If I had to do it over again I would order the altenator as part of the original purchase, but you can always add it if you find a need for it. Good luck with your purchase.
