I actually picked up a 3 phase 7.5HP 3600RPM TEFC motor today for 100 bucks. Industrial salvage yard, guaranteed to work or money back. If I use this motor I will need a phase converter or a phase converting VFD. I am hoping to find an affordable VFD, as that way I could slow down the motor and set trip points. I wonder if the 7.5HP motor would run the 22GPM MTE pump well?
