Are you familiar with the 3000/4000 series Deere handle?

It looks like this.

In it is a round, grey button pad where is looks like there are three buttons.

But when I peel off the cover, I see that it has only two buttons, yet the circuit board has room for a third button.

Question: I'm working on a project that requires three buttons and I really like Deere's ergonomic handle! Does anybody happen to know if Deere ever offered handle with a three button application? And if so, does anybody know the application or part number?

Thanks for your help guys, I really appreciate it!

Eric

Took some fiddling around, but I eventually located an IP67 switch to solder into the open slot on the circuit board and so I ordered a small batch of the little buggers to have on hand.

I still would like to know if the factory ever took advantage of the open third switch because it'll take more fiddling around for me to solder the switch on, make two more solder connections to complete the circuit on the board and then solder on two more wires so I can make use of the added switch and then lock it down with Permatex to keep the wires from flexing on the circuit board.

Yes, I have the three button one, it came on the 110TLB's. Considerably more money though. I can get you pics/part numbers from JDP if you need help. Make sure you use relays as the membrane switches can't take much current.

Here was my thread from years ago: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/customization/110476-joystick-handle-horn-install.html

Wow, talk about timing. We both posted at the same time.

Anyway, yes, I've love it if you could help with the part number!

Thanks!

The 110TLB was the tip. I got the part number. Thanks.

It turns out it is also used in the 5083e as well and who knows, likely more applications too.

Apparently once a guy could order the harness alone but now Deere wants to sell the grip as an assembly, part number LVA13698.

I can save myself $60.00 by soldering the bits I've ordered, or spend $60.00 more on a slick factory grip with better looking wiring harness. LOL

(not the mention the soldering wick, and special silver solder I also ordered) :(

Sheesh, and I found the exact little switches Deere uses and ordered four of them from the same company at $4.00 a pop.

Thank you for your help.

I need to stop buying things in the middle of the night, learn patience, and wait until morning for people to respond.

Eric,
So what are you using the switch for? On a 110tlb it is used to switch the diverter valve between front and rear hydraulics.

Eric,
So what are you using the switch for? On a 110tlb it is used to switch the diverter valve between front and rear hydraulics.

The up and down with run a 3rd function, and the third switch will tell my custom breadboard to tell the ECU to rev the engine.

My Kioti has an eHST and in "car mode" (or whatever they callout) the engine idles down when the HST pedals are not pushed, and so I'm going to give the provision to rev up the engine to speed up the hydros and provide more hydraulic power as needed.
