HELP? Does anyone have info on this JD Implement-Pic

I have several JD tractors and accessories but i came across this at an auction and never seen one before, i have searched to the end of the internet even called a local JD dealer and can't find any info on it.

is it a real john deere or painted john deere?-looks very good if painted
is it a homemade job? looks very good

it's pto driven, i'm interested in buying but would like to know how well it works, it looks like theres a vacuum on the bottom as well as a hose to suck up piles

any help would be great

it appears to be a John Deere 161 Vacuum Sweeper, there is a site that claims to have a manual here: John deere 161 Vacuum Sweeper Operators Golf Turf, you might be able to take the part number from the front of the manual to your dealer and see if they can look it up.

It's Deere Inc alright. They sold a model 141, 151, and 161 yard sweeper in the late 1980's and early 1990's. Not sure how much longer though..... Looks like that one is in pristine condition.
