Watched a neighbor use them on mounting bolts for the loader on a New Holland TN70D. They never came apart in use. He bought a kit as I recall with bit and installer. I'm sure McMaster Carr will have them.

I helicoiled the mounting bolt holes for a starter on a KW.the flywheel housing was aluminum,threads stripped,starter fell out. plowking

I have used many Heli Coil thread repair inserts over the years. They will do what you need and last forever if you just make sure the new bolt is kept tight. The biggest problem maker is when people don't take the time to check there equipment and tighten the loose stuff.

Heli coils are good in general - they usually do what you need and have the least diameter increase required. I just dont like the way they feel at hi strength bolt torques tho. I think the non unitized thread tends to roll inward and bind at high load. They also have a fragile 1st thread and are more touchy about dirt. My 1st choice is to go up a bolt size where possible, 2nd is time sert, 3rd would be helicoil. For restoring damaged medium duty threads there is a Loctite product that is pretty good.

cracked the engine block on a mf175 when i was a kid because i did not check the loader bolts uggg. lots of jb weld
