Just got back from driving to buy diesel, lugging 5 five gallon cans back and forth for my RTV and BX2660. I use wood and heating oil to heat my house. I have a solid 275 gallon tank of heating oil in my basement, easily accessable. I am looking for safe secure clean way gain access to this fuel source so I don't burn fuel to get fuel. Any recommendations on what type of pumping system I should look into? Just need about 4 gallons a day to run my equiptment. Am not looking to dodge any taxation issues

If used off-road, no taxation issues apply. Some easily removed pump installed on the filler pipe would be easiest.

Thanks Mike, accessing the tank from the outside is a better Idea than messing with doing it indoors. Good idea

I really don't like the smell of diesel in my house (funny how I liek it outside though). So I avoid doing any filling inside. My solution was to get a 55 gallon drum that the dealer fills when he fills my tank. It's on a stand with wheels so I can move it around the garage as needed and intot he corner when not. Much easier than putting a pump in the basement and running a hose outside. If I ever need to fill it when I have plenty of fuel in my 275 tank it's easy to put the drum in the back of my truck with the loader. With a 55 gallon drum you can save some money and get a hand pump.
