Headlight on Brush Guard?

Has anyone tried or considered installing an LED light on the front of the brush guard? It seems that the brush guard reflects so much light that any lights behind the brush guard would be ineffective. I certainly find this to be the case with the standard headlights.

I have one very large marine flood light. I got it from McDermott, its LED, 50 watt, 3700 lumen. I haven't installed it yet because I'm still pondering where is the best place. IMHO, the brush guard or the top of the ROPS will not be a good place for me. The brush guard is pretty close to the grapple and it could get whacked by limbs etc. The top of the ROPS is not a good choice either - tree branches. I've been thinking the underside of the ROPS - let the ROPS protect it from tree branches. However, I'm waiting for my son to come out and help me check this "underside" location. I don't want to sunburn my neck or bald head from this flood light. It is one frighteningly bright light.

I also wondered about sticking a light to the top of the bucket with a big old magnet with a curly cord to a power connector on the loader. It would be mostly useless for any loader work, but it would be fine for finishing a mowing job that ran past dusk.

My B2150 and NX4510 both have brush guards and loaders, and between the guard and the loader bucket, not much light from the headlights can get through. I don't think lights of any sort on your brush guard would really solve the problem. I'd opt for lights mounted on the front or bottom side of the ROPS. That's how I went with the B2150 (two 50w halogen off-road lights), and that's work fine for 20 years. Huge difference in visibility. Yes, you have to watch out for tree branches when working in the woods. On the NX4510 cab, I'll eventually upgrade the upper cab lights to LED. The 35w incandescents are bright enough, IMO.

sounds like a plan .... maybe 2 lights ... one shines out further , the other shines closer to the tractor ...

anything on the guards will eventually get knocked off by a branch , limb , etc

We mounted to the top inside of the ROPS(on the vertical) with two LED lights.Simple angle brackets and rods.If you have one large light;pick a side and mount it there.The LED's throw a lot of light.This was on an open station L3000DT.
On my cabbed tractor we just replaced the factory with LED"s.
