I'm a Vermeer dealer and the advantage of the quick clip is mostly for the large operator or custom operator. Vermeer uses a 5mm thick boron steel blade. You will flip the blades to the second cutting edge around 200-300 acres depending on the rocks or sandy soil. This means you will get 400-600 acres per set of blades. The average operator will not save more than a hour per year. I like the system it is faster than other systems but it is like trading a 27 MPG car relatively new and paid for, for a 32 MPG car & laying down $20-30K and you only drive 12k miles a year. If it time to trade and you need a new mower then the Quick System is an advantage. I would not trade a perfectly good mower just to have the quick clip system but I'm pretty conservative.I like the look of the quick change blade system. I don't have any feedback from anyone though on how well it holds up and I don't have a local Vermeer dealer anymore. I looked at them at a farm show in December and it seems like a very good machine.
