[something funny on a similar note]

In the movie 'Three Kings' (war movie in Iraq)

There is a scene where a milk tanker truck gets blown up...no big deal except the amount of milk they show supposedly coming from the single tank truck looks like a tsunami...

Surprised our American farmers don't do the same thing.

They have in the past. Really though, what good does it do?

There is always milk in the stores. The public complains about the price no matter who gets the profit, be it the farmer, dairy or store. The public does not care who gets the profits as long as the supply is there.

Each time the price of milk drops, there are stories in our paper about dairy farmers going out of business. And each time the price of milk rises, there are stories about dairy farmers (and dairy corporations) increasing the size of their herds. Yet I have never seen the milk isles empty of dairy products, unless that doofus weather man calls for a snowstorm! Then everyone runs out to horde milk and bread.... lemmings!

That is about the only way a dairy farmer can protest. The cows have to be milked, and they don't have room to store it. What get me is that a gal of milk runs from $2.75 to $5.25. I don't believe no one can taste the differences in the quality of milk.

The sad thing is that there are millions of starving people... quota... supply and demand.

I talked to a grand banks fisherman many years ago and he talked of quota and how they caught fish that they shredded and dumped over board because they didn't need that type that particular run. And the company was not prepared to process and warehouse the stuff.

Terrible..

New age= waste. I quess that is the best way to sum it up. I agree dumping milk does seem like a waste but farmers need to show what is happening in this country some how. My heart breaks every time I go past the farms up here that have been destroyed{vacated} by modern BSing.

Not sure if this has caught on very much but awhile back I was reading how some places are going back to milk paint???? I quit drinking milk because of the price rather let my kids have it.
