Got the new set-up and I think it's going to work out fine for my needs. It's a 14ft dump, my 4110 with FEL & tiller attached leaves about 18in to spare in the bed, with the BH attached I'll have to leave the rear door down (pick-up truck style) & flag it. Been working on the tie down locations & techniques & taking some runs around the neighborhood to get the feel of it. So far, so good!

THAT'S a nice rig !!!
The usual questions if you please. Dump weight capacity? Dump actuator: straight hydro or electric/hydro? Cost?
Cheers!

10,400 on the load capacity; 5" hydraulic piston with scissor lift - power up/power down, runs off a marine battery; remote control; 3-way tailgate: ramps slide in/out from under the bed; stake pockets; powder coat finish. $6,500 plus another $150 for 6 additional D-rings I had them weld to the bed for tie-down points. If I could change one thing, the bed is almost 30" off the ground...it's not the lowest profile trailer.

Another pic from the tail end.

Can you swing the BH to one side and close the gate?

nice trailer

Nice. I've got a low profile dump and sometimes wish it wasn't. At the highest position the tailgate will drag on the ground. The extra height will give you advantages. When I dump a load of firewood it stretches out to more than the length of the trailer.

Good lookin set-up. I have a similar set-up for some of my equipment. Mine is a low profile with the barn door gates but is only 10K GVWR. Even though I have an F650 dump and other trailers, it seems like I am always hookin up the dumper and using it. It's just so darn flexible!

Norm,
Where did you have them weld the D rings in your trailer?
Thanks, John

JRS,

I did 3 along each side where the floor meets the side wall; one at each corner and then 1 half-way along the side. I made sure they welded to a strong structural member and not just to the 10 gauge flooring material. The trailer came with 4 D-rings, 1 at the top of each corner (2ft off the floor). Might be nice for securing a tarp or strapping over a load but not sufficient for tying down a tractor.

Norm,
Is that what they call a deck over? I know the deck overs have more capacity, but I've been told the ramps that will support a tractor weigh a ton. How are yours?

Any idea how your 4110 relates to a Ford 1910 size wise? By looking at your set up I'm thinking I might be able to go 14' instead of the 16' I was planning on.

Any good dealers out your way? Were not the far from each other and I was thinking trailers might be like jewlery from Manchester, no tax out of state..,....

Avclay,

No, it's not a deck over. The bed of the deck sits a few (not many) inches below the top of the tire. And yep, the ramps are heavy but they slide out from a 'pocket' beneath the bed - pull it out all the way, drop it the ground and then lift the front onto a support bar just above the 'pocket' door. So, it's not like you're carrying them from the side of the trailer around to the back like I've seen on some models. The 'pockets' have doors with clasps that will accept a lock, just in case you're afraid the ramps might walk away.

As for trailer dealers, there are a bunch in and around Albany, but if you're looking to be in VT they're scarce. There's State Line Trailer here in North Bennington, they sell the Cadillac of dump trailers (Moritz, I think?) with a price tag to match. I got mine at Brown's Enterprises in Londonderry, about 20 minutes beyond Manchester.

Here's a link to the manufacturer of my trailer: http://www.pj-trailers.com/ No idea if they'll sell direct or would do an internet deal (no tax that way either!). Brown's had mine on the lot and they were willing to deal, that made it easy for me.

I'm not familiar with the Ford tractors but my 4110 with FEL & BH is almost 16ft long and weighs - I'm guessing - about 2500lbs, probably more. I have turf tires and the outside tread is 52in, that's the widest point on the tractor...although I'm just remembering the BH stabilizers do sticks out another 8-10in on either side in the retracted position.

Hope this helps!
