I just lost another friend to cancer. It happened rather quickly and he had decided that the attempt to combat it was going to be too horrific to live with so he just let nature take its' course. Thankfully it was over much quicker than any of us knew it would be as he only went into full Hospice care 3 weeks ago. He emailed me 3 weeks ago thanking me for the good times we had flying models together and I had a feeling that would be the last I heard from him. He was 84 and had a very full life and loved sailing yachts. We had a special group forum where 5 of us spoke regularly. A bit like the good morning thread here.
One of Australias' famous singers, Johnny Farnham has just gone through the exact same procedure that my friend refused.
I am just thankful that he didn't suffer too long unlike another friend I lost a couple of years ago.
May they rest peacefully forever.
