John_Mc, Pretty sure I got the right thread, Post #11603 was FredH and Post #11605 was my reply to him. I had forgotten I'd posted is why I gave my repair cheer. Just kinda late is all. But, if I'm in the wrong thread, it sure wouldn't be the fist time I've muffed something up....and I'll try to do better in future but make absolutely no promises!! Greg

But this is only Page 626. (We aren't all set for the same number of posts per page). Post number is preferred, its universal.

This is page 1251

Nope, it all depends on the number of posts per page. I set mine up for 40. This is page 313 for me.

I bought this Auto Dimming Welding Helmet many many years ago and it still works just fine for me. Was only 49.99 back then.

Why do they tell you not to let those freeze and what can happen if you do? Mine's been in either the garage or shed every winter and it seemed to work fine the last time I used it a few months ago.

LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display, you can probably figure out which part is the problem. If you leave a LCD out in the cold, the liquid can freeze so it stops working or works very slow. I've had several monitors & other things over the years that have frozen & stopped working. Pretty sure all of them were fine after they warmed up & thawed out though. I could see them freezing breaking things though.

I'm 95% sure the auto dimming masks are just a variation on LCD technology.

Anyone used the 2 inch Predator semi trash pump? Tried searching but didn't find anything.

I have the 3 inch pump, works great. I irrigate with 3 inch hand line and run 15 heads, no problem.

Does anyone here have experience with their low-profile hydraulic floor jacks? They've got them at reasonable prices, but I'd want to get a few years out of them (using for regular car maintenance on the daughters car) if I'm going to drop $200+/- on them. If you have experience and recommend one of their specific models, or even on to stay away from, that would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

I bought this 1.5 ton jack several years ago and it’s worked very well. I already had a 3 ton Craftsman. I can toss the HF jack (33lb.) in the bed of the Polaris Ranger and go. The craftsman is HEAVY.

The Dayton's are good jacks, I know a few people with them and they like them, for me though, I prefer Arcan.
I have 2 of the Arcan XL35's, one has been in use for about 14+ years and the other I just bought to have a second jack, they seem to be a little less expensive compared to the equivalent HF models.

I was able to buy my recent one for $99 on sale through Northern Tool during the black friday sale.

How is it as far as capability? As we all know, HF tends to be a bit optimistic about capabilities of their tools, and as it is 1.5 ton seems a bit light duty for anything but an ATV or a very small car.

If I have something of questionable weight I just use the three ton Craftsman. I bought it primarily for its light weigh and better portability ... but, I have used it to lift well over a ton many times. It will lift the corners of my F-350 KR easily.

I've left it loaded over night and no leak off at all.

I'm very pleased with it but ... YMMV.
