Has anyone tried their new gloves?

View attachment 569045

How do they run in size? I've found their other XL's to be a tight fit.

And what does "REISITS" mean other than poor quality control?
I purchase a lot of items at H.F. that I expect them do the job I want. But I never shop there with the thought of buying "top of the line" products at "bottom line prices".

For several years now, almost every thing I purchased at Harbor Freight met my expectations. Some even surpassed, like tool boxes and impact sockets.

I've found the blonde leather/red trim gloves serve me well. When they occasionally have a sale, limit 6, I buy several pair.

I write the year purchased on the cuff and see that they typically last me better than a year before the seams start to open up, or blackberry thorns poke through. No complaints.

I tried the pigskin ones but they seemed too lightweight.

I usually wear through, rip, cut, or otherwise ruinate gloves faster than I can buy them...

I bought some of these late last winter, and they haven't ripp
ed, torn, cracked, or let me get cut, despite my attempts to cut myself cutting with axes, saws, knives, and machetes: 91Mpr9F1tiL._SL1500_.jpg

only, right now they're out of stock- and as they're mil-surp, who kno
ws if they'll get them back in...

These are very similar, but just a little more spendy:

I had an older version of this and used it for 8? years with no problems. Mine worked fine but I remember not wanting them again.

After that, I went with ones like this Milton one and coupled it with a water filter. Mine are earlier versions of the same thing.
1/2" NPT Condensate Drain Filter | Milton Industries | Miltonindustries.com
https://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_41031_41031

I paint a lot so wanted to err on the side of caution and wanted it to work and work right with no drama.
Everything still works fine and it's been 12 or so years. I have the old fashioned black iron pipe design and mine are maybe 10 pipe ft away yet they are close to the compressor. I have them right before the hose outlet.

That Milton link worked but the Northerntool didn't, it keeps opening up to VigLink and I dont know why that is, does anyone know why that is? If I google Northerntool I can go to their air filter section and there's quite a selection but dont know which one your talking about. I do have to have 3/8" input and I see a lot of air filters with built in (Lubricator)<<<what is that and why is it needed or wanted? When I see the word Lube---------I think of oil when I see oil I dont see why that would be good in an air line system when spraying paint, as far as air tool oil I can add in my own oil.

It's part number 41031 as seen in the link. So just hop to Northern tool, search Milton 41031 and you'll see what he's got.

Has anyone got this service cart? Thinking about getting one.

Haul-Masterョ- item#61930

My neighbor bought one of these about 4 years ago, left it sitting outside in our hot scorching sun. When he moved last year, he gave it to me. It has now been used frequently and I haven't had any problems with it. I had to oil the wheels, but that's it. I would say it would be worth it.

Anyone have or used the Zurich Automotive Diagnostic Tools and Equipment – Harbor Freight Tools
Code Readers ?
Been thinking of getting one for my tool collection.
Yes, bought the Z11 second one down. I picked it up a couple months back because my son's 2014 Cruze was screwed. Ended up being multiple cylinder misfire, so I pulled the coil bar for examination and found 3 of the 4 coil contacts rotted and one cracked. Replaced the coil bar and all 4 plugs and the car is perfect again.

Anyone have the 40 grit flap grinder discs for a portable grinder?

I like then better than a grinding wheel for cleaning off mill scale, and smoothing. They are flexible so they wont gouge as much. But they wear out sooner. Recommended.

Yes, I use them. IIRC, they are the Warrior brand. Decent enough for me. Pay about $3.99ea at HF

I am trying out Walter 'flex steel' brand. I think I like them better...

Walter Surface Technologies 15W462 Flexsteel High Performance Flap Disc, Zirconia Alumina, 4-1/2" Diameter, 7/8" Arbor, 12 Grit (Pack of 1): Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

They are $5.50ea and do seem to last longer. Tried them out as a promo awhile back and entered a little contest and actually won some very nice industrial leather gloves! Maybe I am biased because of the cool gloves. Just found them online too.

Thank you. I'm going to try some out and likely switch from grinding wheels to flap discs.

I think you'll like them, but they're not really a substitute for grinding disks or wheels. Great for light to medium duty surface grinding, and for removing mill scale and smoothing, as California says. The flap design makes it easier to feather your grinding, but the fabric/paper (?) substrate makes them less durable.

NB: HF occasionally runs a super coupon on their 36, 60 and 120 grit Warrior brand, quite a savings from $3.99! Here's one from the HFQPDB app, good now through 9-11-18.

I'll be printing that coupon and getting some. Thank you. For lighter work they might be perfect for me.

FYI, you don't have to print them. If you can save a good enough image to your phone, they can scan that at checkout.

Thank you! I've never seen the price that low. 99 cents?

I just bought five!

After buying a finer grit the first time, subsequently I've bought only 36 grit because it seems to me after some use they wear down to be equivalent to a finer grit. Has anyone compared this?

I'll be printing that coupon ...
'Harbor Freight Coupon Database' is an Android ap for your phone.

Start the ap, key in 'flap', and that coupon image comes up.

Then show the phone to the clerk. They scan the barcode right off your phone.

I just got a 'free with purchase' led flashlight along with my flap discs, by showing the clerk the image of that coupon too.
