If you use the same disposal for the sewage as the cider I will skip the beverage at your place !
As a rule today, people really don't want to work so that is understandable. Guess my local store is an exception. Same folks all the time. In fact I know the assistant manger by first name. She has asked me to apply in as much as I'm retired and I've considered it. Problem is, I'd blow my paycheck on tools.....
Most places want to hire retired folks because they actually have some work ethic.

I bought a self tinting welding helmet from HF for 49.99 about 16 years ago and it still works just fine but it is not used everyday either. However I was surprised on how well it does work for the cost.
Unfortunately I had different results. I bought the $40 something HF helmet and it did not do so well for me. I returned it and bought the cheapest Miller at $99 IIRC and it worked much better for me. I could just see the puddle better. Once I added cheaters, it was even better! I still wish I could justify a better (larger) viewing pane but spending a couple hundred or more dollars for a the amount of welding I do is not wise.Beats a Miller hands down with money to spare.
I guess it boils down to how much one welds (uses the helmet) and whether they have had a chance to compare the difference of the view.
I weld a lot and with me, it's all about switching speed on the auto dark. Don't care about grind mode or fancy graphics. Checked the switching speed on the HF hoods and the Hobart hood and bought the Hobart for a couple bucks more but the switching speed was appreciably faster. Not as fast as the high end hoods but respectable.
I thought switching speed was how soon it returns to transparent. (And that's adjustable). Do you mean how quick it goes dark?
