And I don't just go by the "handle" of Bird; that's my real name. This year we're going to a daughter's house for Thanksgiving, so I did the two turkeys and my wife has made 8 pies today; 4 each of pumpkin and pecan. One of my brothers is bringing a ham, and the daughter took a vacation day today to start cooking. Even though we're going to have 16-20 people, I'm sure we'll have lots of leftovers, as usual.

Times are tough! The economy has tanked and my retirement looks in jeopardy. It was going to be a slim Thanksgiving this year, but our skinny little bird escaped (attachment) and now we have none.

Just kiddin'. . .

We're having about 15 at our house for turkey and smoked ham. I have to get off here and go get the smoker going on the ham.
