First Snow that stuck arrived on September 22nd and it won't be leaving until April or May. Poor trees still had their leaves on and all the birds and forest creatures still have bewildered looks on their faces. To Early!!

We will see our first sub-50 degree night tonight since Spring. High was under 80 today. I'm looking forward to being outdoors without drowning in my own sweat or burning. I've seen snow every month except July and that doesn't count mountains. It is nice in small doses, but I don't miss it too much.

Its been raining and cool nearly everyday here since 1st week of Sept... I could use a return to Summer. At least for a bit..

Indeed. Oklahoma actually has some very diverse geography. It seems that the edge of the Eastern Deciduous forest runs pretty much through the center of the state; Great Plains to the West, and hills and forests to the East...and the Wichita Mountains to the SW.

Happy Fall indeed. This has been the longest summer I can remember in Southern Michigan. From early May to the end of last week! Haven't even come close to a frost yet. Just gorgeous, above average temps in September and October so far; looks like we're about to snap back to normal though. Tree Leaf color is way behind average timing.

When the sun came up this AM, I noticed some crazy white stuff all over my fresh cut pastures and lawn.

It seems to have disappeared for the most part, except in the shadows.

I wonder what that is/was.
