Good or darn lucky....guess he didn't notice the bridge.

Does beg the question as to how he got in there. Luckily his machine could lift itself with its own hydraulics. Was talking to a worker last week who's 2 year old Branson could not lift its front off the ground with its fel.

Was probably working in the ditch. Went in the same way just in reverse.

Not a very good operator, several mistakes, first of which was extending his hoe way to the rear when he needed to push forward. A one shot deal if he had put his hoe down as close to the back as possible then just shoved the backhoe up on the bank in one smooth motion while sliding the FEL forward on the grass.

Agreed. He wasn't lucky or good and I doubt an idiot. I doubt he just wanted to cross the ditch and had work to do.

Ya i agree, made a couple mistakes getting out of the ditch. But looks like the driver got it figured out, learned a few lessons and got the machine out. Good enough for the day :)

(Notice I did not say "operator" as in someone with good skills and experience on the equipment )

OPERATOR'S SKILL ?

There may have been some serious apprehensions regarding the consequences of NOT Getting out of the jamb.

Stress tends to cloud one's reason ! Entirely understandable.

Back seat driving is so easy.

At least he seemed to take his time and go mostly carefully. I was cringing when he was back up on the edge with his legs up on the edge and put his spade way up in the air. If the bank had caved right at that moment, he might've tumbled.
