Guess the Barn Find

2wd. and never considered a FEL on it. Plenty of Hp. 24-20@ the PTO.. The 4Wd. front end Axel assembly I think works just fine The 2wd. spindles Esp. takes a beating! They Brake often and you hear it on the Yanmar Forum. Owned mine since 2008. The 63 Ford does have A Wagner FEL. on it. 2wd Antifreeze loaded rear wheels. Works really well. Now I'm a lot older with injurys. No Power Steering so I'll most likely have to add it Eventually.

If the Bungee cords holding the tarp are 10 years old, out in the weather and still good I need to know the brand.

My guess: It is the tractor owned and used on occasion by the person paid for maintaining the place.

Checking the D.O.M on the tractor and compare it to the D.O.D may disclose some info on ownership.

It’s more than a riding mower, probably equivalent to a modern 1023e. A small tractor but nonetheless a full 3 point and able to have an FEL.
True... but finding FEL's for old tractors is a lot harder than just buying another old tractor with an FEL.

Back when I bought my first CUT, a coworker who was a big tractor collector said, "you're buying the FEL, a tractor comes with it for free." What he meant was that an older FEL on a tractor is often nearly the same price as an older FEL without the tractor.

She is definitely a stout little subcompact tractor. Shame it doesn't at least have a mower deck. No way in heck I would look to purchase something this old and try to find the unicorn FEL or mmm.

Well you know things nag at you once you've seen em, but this too shall pass.

The owner died in 2011. He lived 180 miles away and kept it stored at his sister's property for the occasional mow of the adjacent few acres he owned.

This a nice comparison through the years. Is this John Deere's first SCUT?

Interesting find. It actually appears to be pretty good condition with the exception of the seat dirt and nest. Is the right front tire flat? I wonder if maybe it hasn't been sitting as long as you think. Or whoever has been cutting the yard has been cleaning out the tractor bay periodically because I would have expected more vegetation intrusion.

Yea front tire looks flat. Some of the shed floor is just dirt but rest is grown up pretty good.
