Have owned my GT275 for around 10 years. Have rarely seen my fuel filter full. I have often had to begin a new season by cutting off 1/4" or so of the fuel line at the filter because of cracking. A local dealer says the 'partial full' fuel filter is normal.

Welcome! Are you talking about a glass sediment bowl? When it's half full, is the tractor running or is it all the time? My zetor's sediment bowl is half full when running. The "air" at the top is actually a vacuum. Normal for that tractor. I'm assuming it's a gravity fed online filter. If that is the case, I wouldn't worry about it.
