The freighter, Barbro G, is carrying 21,000 tons of wheat and heading to Italy when it ran aground outside Belle Isle Anchorage.

Before its winter cocoon was in place, I grabbed a shot of the Ontario ferry being built at Fraser Shipyards. I liked this image as it shows some different vessels, including the saltie Federal Dart unloading cement in the distance, laker Edward L. Ryerson on the left, passenger vessel Ranger III in dry dock and the aforementioned ferry. The Ranger III is undergoing a normal 5-year inspection, likely its last given a replacement is out for bid. The Ranger and Ryerson share a streamlined style that harkens back to the 1950s/60s. Superior, WI - November 15, 2023
