Greasing the B7800

I am loving my B7800 even more than I thought I would. If I could get it in the house and up the stairs I'd have it sleep at the foot of my bed. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I'll soon be getting ready to do the fifty hour maintainance but in the meantime I am doing the normal start-up checks and greasing occasionally. As far as greasing I am hitting the 12 points on the loader approximately every ten hours. Should I be greasing the rest of the tractor that often as well? As far as I can tell besides the loader there are only three grease points on the tractor - top link and bottom link on the 3 point hitch and the speed control pedal. Oh, and the loader manual says to apply grease to the control lever every ten hours and the tractor manual says to grease the battery terminals also. Am I missing any grease points here? Someone (who owns Deeres - not Kubotas) told me there should probably be some grease fittings up front but the manual doesn't say anything about it. And how do I apply grease to the loader control lever and the battery terminals? I don't see any grease fittings. Do I just put some on my finger and rub it on? Simple questions but I want to make sure I get it right. If there is anything else maintainance wise that the manual is not clear on or I might be missing let me know. Thanks.

I use tri-flow spray lubricant on my loader control. Lift the dust boot and give it a spray every ten hours or so. Battery terminals need a thin coat of grease to offset any corrosion. I woudn't worry about greasing the battery connections as often as stated in my manual. A visual check of the connections will tell you if you need to wipe them with a little grease.

I've only had my B7800 for a week, so I am no expert on this unit. However, let me tell you my philosophy on grease in general--there's no such thing as too much grease on any metal-to-metal moving parts. And yes, if there's no zerks, then rub it on with your fingers or anything else that's handy. My baby seemed kind of dry on the 3pt and elsewhere when I got her, so I've used about half a can of grease on her so far. It also makes attaching implements much easier. Anyway, I had to respond when I saw you're also from WA state. Nice rainy day today on the east side--we need it. Regards, Mike

YOU SEEM TO HAVE IT COVERED. i use tri-flo spray for areas that i can not reach, levvers, etc. on the 3 pt i just spread grease with my finger on all moving parts. and pins.
