Apparently I rubbed some grease onto my hood and it is a bugger to clean up.

What solution should I use to get the hood clean once again.

The JD Green isn' so green right now and I ain't likeing it.!!!!

Distilled alcohol.??

I'd pick up some kind of quality automotive bug and tar remover, maybe something by Meguiar's. Anything that's formulated for a car's paint will be safe to use on your tractor. Just another reason to keep a coat of wax on the tractor.

I've used WD-40 with great success but I will advise you to wash the area after you clean it :)

I wouldn't use brake cleaner, but would use Simple Green.

Or I'd use gasoline too.

I'd use some diesel or kerosene and follow up with some soapy water. Dawn dish detergent is good for cutting what's left of the grease/diesel.

If John Deere paint is the same as the Yanmar paint, you couldn't hurt it with anything short of a sand blaster. The Yanmar paint is the thickest hardest paint I have ever seen.

Palmolive, or Dove Dishwashing liquid with water. ~S
