Anyone running the Milwaukee M12 model? I have both M12 and M18 systems, but the M12 is a bit cheaper, and apparently does the same as the M18, just a bit slower.
There are a few reports of issues with the plunger and cartridges (ie plunger not fitting), but some people say it's a read the freakin manual thing, so i wanted to get first hand experience.
Also have the Ryobi system, but the Ryobi is actually more expensive than the M12 grease gun (139 vs 119) and it would be nice to use these M12 tools and batteries

I've been using the M12 for several years without a problem. If it goes out I'll probably get the M18 just because the battery matches my other Milwaukee tools.

Yes no question the M18 is better, mostly on volume/speed. If you have serious greasing needs, it would make sense to upgrade after the M12 dies I guess.
For me, I'm looking at a CUT (really low use, like less than 75hours/year) and a garden tractor (mower spindles and such) for my greasing needs. I can probably wait the extra minute for the savings.

Is anyone using a Lube Shuttle from Airtec? I am impressed with the system and general quality of the gun, but I would be worried about grease availability in the proprietary screw on tubes. Was looking online for inexpensive ways to refill tubes (ie from a 5 gallon pail, special pump/fitting), but all I could was basically commercial refill equipment.

I just learned about Lube Shuttle. I have not tried it, but am interested. They sell empty tubes which I assume would allow you to put your own grease in. It seems the tubes can be used several times before having to replace due to integrity issues.

Alemite 500-E gun, Lock-N-Lube tip, Lucas 10301 grease. Best I've ever had and don't see changing.

Can be re-used 3 times safely. You have a dealer in your area, you can get the gun, empty tubes and a refill adapter (providing you have a grease pump). Shipping was a little rich for me (35usd...). But should be 15usd for you in the USA.
