This is a photo thread, for grapple pictures. Up until these recent posts, we've made it years now with very very little dickering back and forth. That light dickering has at least been complimented with photos for "proof".

This is a photo thread, for grapple pictures. Can we please get back on track? There are plenty of threads arguing anything you could possibly want, and if not, your free to create a new one.

Thank you.

Not to nitpick, dicker, bicker, or be petty :D- but at least as I understand it, I think you meant to say "bickering", because at least around here, dickering means haggling or bargaining. :confused2:

That said, I share your sentiment - I'm here for the pictures, and to explore the various [and often ingenious] uses that you'all find for your grapples.

Well, and to be honest, to drool in envy a little.

Why beat a toy tractor up when you got a machine that was made to lift

Because I just hook the little Kubota behind the little dump truck on my junk bumper pull trailer. It’s hard to get lowboy permits for the 988 and 777. And it wasn’t a big deal when I got the little truck stuck in the pond. Getting the 300,000 pound haul truck stuck is bad.

A 988 is a bit bigger. Definitely needs a lowboy with permits. If I’d have had a bigger trackhoe instead of the 50 series mini I wouldn’t have needed the tractor or any other loader at all.

Larger isn't better. Right sized is better.

Reminds me of the guy in this JD commercial.

Even if I actually had a 988 loader and a 777 haul truck the 1 ton and Kubota would still be the machines I’d pick to move 100 yards of material across 5 acres. I might choose the Kubota CTL at work over the tractor but there’s no chance a 988 loader would be of any use to muck a 1/4 acre pond.
