Governor trouble

I recently got a 650g that had been idle for long time. Got it running pretty good but the governor not picking up the load. There's only 129 hours on the hour meter. Seems like low hours to have this problem. Any clue to where I start?

Check all the fuel filters and flow TO THE INJECTION PUMP..
I haven’t looked it up at the moment but, the pump requires about 6-8 psi at the pump inlet..

Are you referring to injection pump for a diesel? This is a gasoline model.
