good morning, 36 going to 41 milder day

Was up earlier than normal for some reason. Walked Cody. Did 9.5 K yesterday not bad

Made Stellhead trout again for dinner

Plan to do a workout and make the step goal. Take the snow plow off the RTV but before that use it to push the leaves to improve the run off behind the house

Good morning, the temperature now is 15 and going down to 7°F. Wind W 9 gusting to 20 mph. 40% chance of flurries.

We've only got about 2" of fresh snow, but I may go out and clear the windrows anyway. 2 of my people have 2 wheel drive and one of them couldn't drive a sharp stick up a dead dogs butt. The other one moved here from Montreal so for sure she knows how to handle the snow.

Time to go, have a safe day all

Plans for today...Let Kubota warm up been a while, cut up 3 old pallets, wheelbarrow load wood in basement, maybe watch NFL game other than that.

Enjoy your day all.

went to make warm apple cider and found second half of jug had started to turn a little.
I have a half gallon but don't want to run out so headed back downtown for another jug.
Can't invite the neighbors over for cider and run out.
not offering beer or wine, not at 2pm on a Sunday.
now maybe at 5...

I have always been annoyed having to drag my brakes going down steep Solebury hill so as not to
way overexceed the 35mph limit. No longer. There is enough drag in suv's awd system that if I downshift to
3rd gear, it will hold 35mph at 2000 rpm all the down the hill just by gravity. Not quite like jake brakes but sure beats
grinding down the brake pads. Normally you need to brake fairly hard at least three times coming down the hill.
I wondered if the folks who got behind me, who were happy to do 45 thought my brake lights didn't work.
nope, just didn't need them

My wifes car being an electric with regeneration will slow itself down to a stop if desired, however when doing regenerative braking is also activates the brake lights.
My pickup with the engine brake also activates the brake lights when slowing the pickup.

I wonder at times if those functions are working but I can verify them at night in the mirrors.

You've got me thinking that I should see if mine does also.

I’ve been driving a Toyota hybrid for over 20 years and had no idea about this.
Im going to have to check it out, but it makes sense that they would do it as well.

Morning all, 29 going to 45 and partly cloudy.
Last of the guests BIL/SIL just left from last nights get together and trip to the playhouse to see Elf the musical.
Lets just say that I am not a fan of musicals, and since I can't drink even less so.
But they did put a lot of effort into it and all of us had a good time.
Wife made Lasagna, I grilled up some Sricha/honey flank steaks. Lots of cookies baked by the wife and other foods. Only got a picture of one table as the cookie and appetizer table got hit pretty hard by the time I though to take pictures :)

Mostly, was that a seat cover?

Buppies, we have an alarm that can be set to chime when a door or window opens. I hope this is only a minor setback.

Drew, I started my first real job as an engineering tech at 16, so already well past the 45 working years.....Gotta pay for the kids college.

My new car truck has regenerative braking and it does take some of the load off the brakes. Had six people in it last night with the third row open, a bit tight so put my son and GF in the back row with BIL and SIL in middle.

We left the two dogs alone for the first time, they got along fine and we came home to both of them by the door excited to see us.

Be well,

Look, new trees fell from the sky, one on the right is taller than I am. Driveway cleanup, lots of small branches.

Found the top of my neighbors tree from across the main road. Left a mess on the road so I cleaned that up too. Could have damaged some cars, mostly 1-2" diameter branches.

The side food table, the sugar cookies, brownies, ugly sweater cookies and other desserts and the appetizers were on the main table, no picture taken though.

There was so much stuff, I don't think anyone went for the hot chocolate, but they did consume many of the drinks the wife made.

I remember on my Subaru Outback it used to have a little car pictogram where all the main
lights would light up when activated, like turn signals and rear brake lights.
one of the problems I have with adaptive cruise is sometimes its software will slow you down dramatically
when you had no desire to slow down, and you don't know if your rear lights come on.
I try to use my brakes as little as possible. Slowing down quickly in heavy interstate traffic is not smart or intuitive.

went downtown and got another jug of local cider, on the stove warming up with cinnamon, cloves and vanilla added.

I have no idea how many of them do the brake lights on regenerative braking or engine braking. I worried about her car (2025 Chevy Equinox EV) and the "one" pedal driving mode till I checked it out.
I had no idea my pickup (2022 RAM 2500) would activate the brake lights with the engine brake untill I watched in the mirrors at night.

Good Morning
Its 36° now, it was 31 when I got up, mostly clear and a high just over 40 in the forecast.
Yesterday was a typical day, some clean up, some computer time, lunch with friends.
Modeled a holder for a temp/humidity sensor to be on a high shelf, so it was still viewable.

The big event was the trip to Peddler’s Village with Son and family to see the lights and eat dinner.

The lights were bordering on overwhelming, but scenic.
Had a nice Prime Rib dinner at Earl’s, where we had never been before, and it was actually pretty good.

Today started with getting a carryall load of firewood from the woodshed while the ground was frozen. I plan to burn some up tonight.
My mechanical contractor buddy and I are going to take the little plane to Reading for lunch today.
Not sure what will be between that and feet up in front of the fire, but I’m confident it wont be a nap.

When the engine brake is activated the brake lights come on I use engine brake a lot in fact on at all times. Ram in my opinion has the best engine brake for pickup trucks

The 2014 car we have with adaptive cruise shows brake light as well

Ken the doors have dinging bell but I slept right thru it. It is part of the alarm system

Fell asleep in chair watching James Madison and Oregon. Left door unlocked Holly escaped police brought her home I could lose her over this. I’ve been up since 1:00 can’t sleep

Prayers for all silent or spoken our Country

Neat picture Ron I’m surprised A&M lost thought JMU would do better
Prayers for you and Holly.

Neck shots have worn off. Seems like it now hurts worse then ever! I think it's just the fact that it has been going on for so long I was used to it. Having 4 days of no pain was surreal. Oh well, back to the doc next week to see what's next.
Prayers that gets better.
