Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 3.1C and it's presently warmed up to 18.0C, clear with a gentle breeze. There was 2.0mm in the gauge @ 0900. Flagpole is back 'up'.

The wind finally abated towards yesterday's late arvo, followed by the predicted rain. Experienced another two power outages, none lasting more than a half hour... these low overnight temps are annoying but I have to remind myself that it's still 'Spring'.

So, today I'll finish up the geranium 'leavings' and then may start on wood-stacking out at the wooden shed.

That's about it, take care all.

My guess is that they will, but that might be wishful thinking. Let us know how it goes.
BTW- what broke?

The copper tube falls right out. Already heard back, and they are sending a replacement under warranty.

Did it freeze and get pushed out?
Looks like ice on the reel.
No ice, that was water. we haven't gotten cold enough for water to freeze outside yet. I was in process of removing the hose connection to drain it for the winter, when the pipe just pushed out. They did state that can happen with freezing, that isn't covered, but they also acknowledged it can happen. They also have redesigned that piece, so they must have experienced problems with it before...

On my half ton SUV, the carbon purge canister has bursted internally and sent carbon pellets down many of the fuel lines, some all the way up to the solenoid at the engine.
New parts on order. It was a bee otch dropping the tank by myself with about 8-10 gallons in it, using a transmission jack. The really hard part was getting off a particular fuel line connector under the driver's seat area. I was about to curse the engineers. Why do they make about forty eleven types of connectors for all these things? Anyway this is another fine example of pollution controls that cost an owner $$$ to repair. All this thing does is accept a wee bit of fumes while the motor is turned off and the solenoid/pump shuts off. Then later when you start it, it opens up and lets this wee bit of fumes to get burned through the engine. Meanwhile, my fuel lines are full of activated charcoal pellets. I'm blowing from both ends to try and get them out. I believe I have them out, but I'm seeing on a video that I should maybe pull the fuel pump out of the tank, drain it, and wipe it out to get the beads out of the tank....Arghh.

The only pollution controls I like are fuel injection controlled by an O2 sensor with the catalytic converters. They can have their AutoStop bull corn.

Good night all.
Sitting there looking at the fuel tank out of the truck and calling myself a big dummy if I don't put a new pump in while I have the tank out...Ordered one, should be here tomorrow.
After wrestling with it last night, and today's busy work day, I'm glad to have the night off "waiting on parts".

Oh, and more bad pollution controls, maybe the worst is the displacement on demand, and then there's the egr system that nowadaws throws burnt tar on your intake valve stems.

69°F and 1.78 inches rain and going down pretty good

Managed to tweak my back so need to give it a day off

H&F at friends later this afternoon.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great tractor day
David, hope your back gets untweaked. Mine is too a wee bit, not bad this time.
Ha! I had some "Pain relief Creme" from Walmart in the bathroom closet. I put a glob on 1 hand and rubbed into my lower back, then another glob and rubbed it on my neck (from craning it under the truck). Next thing I know I was about to call the fire department to put out the fire on my neck. Wifey was laughing saying how it works is, it is so painful, you forget the original pain!

Working on proposal at work to retire/replace/old machinery. Some might be rebuilt. Wanting a new wire electrostatic discharge machine. Once you've had one, it is hard to do without. Ours went on the blink a few months back. Uses an old PC windows XP and gave up the goat.

Also working on some water transfer pump stations some more, that we train students in our fluids course lab. They need new pressure transducers and analog gages all around. $$$

Still 74F outside at 7:30pm. Nice night. I did not see the aurora, but saw it last time a few months back.

Life is busy. Running low on energy.

Prayers for our team, our nation, and peace around the world.
