BEF, that is why he flamed you. He already knows what will happen with the 'prescribed burn' nonsense.
Drained the eley hose reel, and broke it. Now to see if they will honor their warranty...
My guess is that they will, but that might be wishful thinking. Let us know how it goes.
BTW- what broke?
Did it freeze and get pushed out?
Looks like ice on the reel.
No ice, that was water. we haven't gotten cold enough for water to freeze outside yet. I was in process of removing the hose connection to drain it for the winter, when the pipe just pushed out. They did state that can happen with freezing, that isn't covered, but they also acknowledged it can happen. They also have redesigned that piece, so they must have experienced problems with it before...Did it freeze and get pushed out?
Looks like ice on the reel.
Sitting there looking at the fuel tank out of the truck and calling myself a big dummy if I don't put a new pump in while I have the tank out...Ordered one, should be here tomorrow. On my half ton SUV, the carbon purge canister has bursted internally and sent carbon pellets down many of the fuel lines, some all the way up to the solenoid at the engine.
New parts on order. It was a bee otch dropping the tank by myself with about 8-10 gallons in it, using a transmission jack. The really hard part was getting off a particular fuel line connector under the driver's seat area. I was about to curse the engineers. Why do they make about forty eleven types of connectors for all these things? Anyway this is another fine example of pollution controls that cost an owner $$$ to repair. All this thing does is accept a wee bit of fumes while the motor is turned off and the solenoid/pump shuts off. Then later when you start it, it opens up and lets this wee bit of fumes to get burned through the engine. Meanwhile, my fuel lines are full of activated charcoal pellets. I'm blowing from both ends to try and get them out. I believe I have them out, but I'm seeing on a video that I should maybe pull the fuel pump out of the tank, drain it, and wipe it out to get the beads out of the tank....Arghh.
The only pollution controls I like are fuel injection controlled by an O2 sensor with the catalytic converters. They can have their AutoStop bull corn.
Good night all.
David, hope your back gets untweaked. Mine is too a wee bit, not bad this time.69°F and 1.78 inches rain and going down pretty good
Managed to tweak my back so need to give it a day off
H&F at friends later this afternoon.
Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great tractor day
