Ya'll keep reminding me that I need to add a whole house water filter to my house. keep putting that off. Would rather changed car brakes than do plumbing work, and I have all the tools for doing CU.

Dad has used a couple tree climbers to remove trees next to his house. Years ago a couple friends of mine did that as a side job, I think it's something I would have enjoyed doing in my younger years.

my barber charges $22 for hair cut.

68°F and .25 inches rain

Able to finish mowing the Laupahoehoe end of property
IMG_1214.jpg

Took a bit longer, but success with the m8 shear bolt in the broken limiter. Tried to keep pto shaft as straight as I could to minimize stress. Would stop periodically to retighten, about 6 times. Surprisingly that bolt make it to the finish.

Sophie suggested we treat ourself to dinner for Veterans Day. Of course she meant one of the free type, but no idea who or if any were being offered locally, none advertised. Took her to one of our better places where I enjoyed their fish and chips and she the baby back ribs. A pricey treat, but enjoyable.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great tractor day

My sons college is taking all my funds
According to an old friend who’s a financial advisor, “College tuition is the most perfectly-tuned financial machine in the world. They have a knack of figuring out exactly what you can afford, and that’s what you’re going to pay.” :ROFLMAO:

47F and cloudy @ 12:30, calling for a high of 48F for the day. Low this morning was 32.8F.

Got large foam board panel glued up and braced on west wall underneath window yesterday first thing.

Cut a small piece of foam board to fill in a section next to the window on the west wall.

Then a little more work on the short section of remaining studs for the south wall to correct a measurement error.

Got that section plumbed up and nailed into the joists overhead, into an interior block wall, and into the concrete floor below.

Drilled a couple more holes to pass the romex through, then finished up adding electrical boxes and got the last 2 electrical outlets installed on that section.

After that worked on filling in the cavities between the studs with unfaced R-11 fiberglass. Got 5 of those done.

Was around 00:30 at that point so I knocked off for the day.

Brought RockBox up to recharge it but forgot to the plug it in ... 🤬

Agenda for today:

Cut and piece in a small bare area on the south wall around HVAC ducting.

Have a couple more short pieces of 2 x 4 to cut and install on that last section of studs on the south wall.

Cut and install more unfaced fiberglass in between studs.

Glue up the small piece of foam board to fill in the section next to the window on the west wall and get that installed.

Down to only four 2 x 4 x 8's in garage so maybe take the Kubota over to the barn and grab another dozen or so of those and get them stowed away in the garage while the sun is out.

Beyond that just see what else comes up.

Still no email with proposal from the well driller in Mansfield ... 🤬

Hope everyone is having a decent Wednesday ... (y)

while in NC I helped a friend renew her driveway
fresh gravel then came in
this was my friend I gave the new Cub Cadet riding mower to and who
blew up the engine two years after I left.
you really have to abuse a 23hp Kawasaki to kill it
either no oil or ingestion of beach sand as her house was on the Pamlico River.
my landscaper back then brought it down to her house with his trailer, pretty sure he ran
the tractor.

that light bar I put on this Kubota really helped at night

finished picking up a lot of leaves, happy to put my feet up

The turn table on my BB was getting really stiff so today I went out and with the wire wheel on the angle grinder scuffed all the rust off and put down some grease. That helped a lot. After that I plowed out my driveway and the three others I do. It was only a couple of inches, but the plow had been down and left huge windrows across the openings. Total time from start to finish was 2 hours. The total time on this tank full of fuel is 4.5 hours and the needle on the gauge still hasn't moved off the full mark.

BEF, don't forget to get whole house filters! :)
